Danish Language Expert:
Copywriter & Translator

Since June 2016, I have been the main voice for Danish at Huel. This means doing translations and copywriting myself as well as checking the quality with other vendors.

The work also includes doing research on the Danish market for this sector as well giving guidance on Danish culture, appropriateness of certain campaigns, and more.

English to Danish / Dutch to Danish translator & Copywriter

Since February 2021, I have been freelancing with the Dutch agency Contentoo.

Here I've mainly been working as a freelance English-to-Danish as well as Dutch-to-Danish translator for brands all across Europe and within a variety of different subjects – mainly focused on marketing campaigns, website, and app localization.

Danish Translator / Freelance

Started work with GloZ Inc. in October 2023 as a freelance Danish translator. Helping them with content that needs to be translated into Danish for one of the absolute biggest streaming giants on the market. We look at movies and TV content that needs to follow best practice and expectations of Danish customers.

Freelance Danish Translator

My collaboration with the translation and localization agency BLEND started in May 2023. They offer a variety of different services to companies that want to localize their business and content. I, personally, help clients with Danish content translations.

Freelance Danish Translator

Since March 2022, I have worked on many different projects for Smartling, helping ensure high-quality translations for Danish across several sectors. Smartling focuses on cloud-based and computer-assisted translation approaches.

Design LQA - Danish

Canva provides templates for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, marketing, postcards, banners, infographics, and whatever else you can imagine. You can even make your own. Here I do localization for the Danish market from 2019 to 2022.

Not only does it entail providing a flawless Danish translation, but I also need to make sure that the font, content, and visual setup are appropriate for the Danish market as well as identifying any errors that could affect other locales. Able to use skills from a position as senior localization QA where similar principles were applied to movie and series artwork.

Freelance Danish Language Expert and Dannish Translator

Main translator for Danish on the website, app, and all other products related to this VPN service. The initial work was to revise many existing webpages online and apps for iOS, Android, Chrome, and more.

While I could apply skills from a previous job as a project manager of VPN sites, I have gained more in-depth knowledge about many tech and security-related issues on the internet.

Volunteer Translator for Danish and French

With time I have translated various documents for UN-related projects in Danish, English, and French as a volunteer. In 2018, I was also a volunteer researcher for the UN E-Government Survey where I helped cover countries like Guinea, Denmark, and Luxembourg, applying both Danish and French skills.

These projects let me combine my linguistic skills with knowledge from my MSc in Business and Development Studies that focused on developing countries, emerging markets, business, aid, and humanitarian work.

Danish Language Specialist for SaaS localization

Teston (since acquired by UserTesting) was a platform specialized in UX. They help companies around the world reach their target groups and perform unmoderated user testing.

In 2019 and 2020, I was their Danish translator for SaaS localization. First collaborating extensively on glossary, terminology, and best practices. Translations included the website, smartphone apps, marketing, and blog posts as well as a customer-facing script (for testers and companies).

Freelance Danish Language Expert

This is a global and award-winning language-learning app with more than 33 languages and millions of users. In 2020 and 2021 I worked with Mondly on a freelance basis for Danish. Not having done the initial translation, I went through some of the first lessons and user-facing scripts in the app. As an expert in Danish grammar and vocabulary, I would from time to time help them verify or debunk any questions coming from customers in order to improve the service and translations.
